Emailing with leads
Communication with leads and buyers is a fundamental aspect to Edgewise. Email in particular can be tracked for reporting, agent accountability, and contributes to the sales conversion prediction analysis.
There are three ways Edgewise works with email:
Edgewise Messaging
Edgewise has built-in messaging by default; requiring no setup. Emails to leads and buyers can be sent through Seller Central. Email scheduling and templates are supported; allowing for multiple touch-point emails to be written at once. Delivered, opened, clicked, and bounced events are tracked as well.
Every project has an Edgewise email address by default (eg. acme-condos@inbox.edgewiserealty.com). The "from" name is the project title (eg. "Acme Condos"). Any email sent to this address will automatically create a new lead, or merge into an existing lead / buyer.
Lead / buyer replies are automatically tracked in Edgewise, as well as forwarded to the project sales office, or to the assigned agent (when applicable).
The reply notification email from Edgewise can be replied to directly, so you don't need to log into Seller Central to reply. Additionally, your reply email will be masked by the project email address (eg. acme-condos@inbox.edgewiserealty.com) which is convenient for multiple team members working on the same lead, and/or unbranded email addresses.
CC/BCC Edgewise
If you would like to send an email outside of Seller Central, you can still track the email by simply CC'ing or BCC'ing the project email address (eg. acme-condos@inbox.edgewiserealty.com). If the recipient you are emailing does not exist in Edgewise, a new lead will be created and the email tracked. If the lead / buyer already exists, the email will be tracked in Seller Central.
Worth noting, replies from the lead / buyer will be tracked only if you CC the project email address. If you BCC, the replies will not be tracked. This is not an Edgewise limitation, but rather how BCC is supposed to function.
Gmail / Outlook Integration
If your email is @gmail.com or @outlook.com (or powered by Google GSuite / Microsoft 365), you can enable the respective integration in Seller Central. This will automatically track emails with leads and buyers that already exist in Edgewise (and their replies). You do not need to send emails from Seller Central, and you do not need to CC/BCC Edgewise for your emails to be tracked.
The email address of the integration must match the email address of your Edgewise account.
