Lead Assignment

Each lead can be assigned to team members in Edgewise for lead ownership/follow up in both manual and automated methods.

Manual Assignment

At the top right of a lead’s profile, you can select an assignee to own the lead. Simply click the dropdown, and select a team member from the list. They will need to have access to the project to be assigned project leads.

Automatic Assignment with Round Robin

Edgewise can also automatically assign leads in a round robin format to your team members.

• Navigate to your project settings ("Project Name" > Settings > General).
• Scroll down to “Lead Assignment” and select “Round Robin.” You must also then select the team members you would like to participate in the round robin pool by checking team members from the drop down.
• Click "Set Lead Assignment" to save your selections.

Round robin lead assignment will sample recently auto-assigned leads and distribute them to team members in the pool with fewer recent assignments. This approach ensures that lead distribution is balanced among the pool members over time.

Restricting Lead Visibility

If you would like to restrict visibility of leads only to team members assigned to each lead, select the “Private” option under the Lead Assignment section. A "private" lead pool will restrict visibility and permissions for team members in the pool – regardless of their organization / project permission level.
