BDX XML Feed

The Edgewise BDX integration enables automated and up-to-date XML feeds using inventory in Edgewise.

Shared Data

Edgewise maps inventory data into the BDX XML schema and will handle the differences in formats. The table below shows some of the high-level fields that map between Edgewise and BDX.

Hot Homes

Units can be highlighted as "Hot Homes" to market promotions or highlight specific units within a project. A total of two units per community can be marked as a "Hot Home".

To set a unit as a "Hot Home" in the BDX feed:

  1. Create a custom field with the canonical name: bdx_hot_home.
  2. Make the bdx_hot_home custom field available on units.
  3. Assign the bdx_hot_home custom field to a unit and enter a short headline as the field value (e.g., "Last golf course unit").

Note: Adding the bdx_hot_home custom field to more than two units per project will raise an error when uploading the generated BDX feed.

How to enable the BDX integration

  1. From the Account dropdown menu, select Organizations.
  2. Select the appropriate organization and navigate to Integrations
  3. Click BDX and Install.
  4. A dialog modal will appear, prompting you to input the FTP user credentials provided by your BDX representative.
    • FTP server
    • Username
    • Password
  5. Your integration has been added.

Note: The username and password required for FTP uploads will be given to you by your BDX representative. Please do not input your personal credentials.

Note: BDX processes a maximum of one file per day. If there is a need to send a corrected feed, please contact your BDX representative to ensure the second file is uploaded correctly.
